The CAPI Women's Leadership Forum is one of the Central Florida Association of Physicians from the Indian Subcontinent's (CAPI) most cherished annual traditions. Held each year around Mother's Day, this inspiring event provides a dedicated space for CAPI’s female physician members to connect, empower one another, and recharge—celebrating the balance of life as leaders in both medicine and family.

CAPI is a professional network of over 600 medical and dental professionals across Central Florida, united in their mission to elevate healthcare in the community and promote professional growth through education, collaboration, and conversation.

This year’s Forum, held on May 10, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, embraced the theme “Strong Women, Strong Families,” shining a spotlight on the incredible strength and resilience of Mom Docs—women who navigate the many roles of physician, mother, sister, spouse, and friend.
Led by CAPI 2025 President Dr. Neelima Katukuri, the event featured:
-
Inspiring Power Chats from Dr. Preethi Gondi, Dr. Swathy Kolli, and Dr. Beena Parikh on parenting, emotional wellness, and balance.
-
A moving presentation by Dr. Jennifer Solms Nelson of Nemours Children’s Hospital, highlighting their innovative pediatric genomics research.
-
A check presentation to Nemours, supporting their efforts to identify the root causes of congenital heart disease through advanced DNA methylation studies.

This heartfelt gathering reminded us that investing in strong women and strong science leads to stronger, healthier communities. Stay tuned for details on the 2026 CAPI Women's Leadership Forum—coming soon!
