About CAPI

The Central Florida Association of Physicians from the Indian subcontinent (CAPI), is a network of Central Florida medical and dental professionals (600+ strong) collaborating and leveraging collective expertise and assets - to make a difference in the lives of members and the community, while fostering professional growth and enhancing healthcare for all.  CAPI empowers our members through educational growth, we facilitate impactful conversations within the healthcare industry, and we foster connections to drive professional and business development. And at the heart of all of this, we aim to make a lasting impact on our community by harnessing our collective resources, contributing impactfully to the betterment of society.

CAPI  founded in 2008, is registered under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code, providing for the exemption of business leagues, chambers of commerce, real estate boards, boards of trade and professional football leagues, which are not organized for profit and not part of the net earnings of which insures to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual. Though 501(c)(6) organizations are “not for profit” and exempt from federal income tax, they are afforded no special treatment under Florida's sales and use tax laws. Contributions to section 501(c)(6) organizations are not deductible as charitable contributions on the donor's federal income tax return.
